Thyroid tumors of cats
|
|
Elevated thyroid function is very common in aging cats. Symptoms are very
similar to the condition of people. Symptoms may include high blood
pressure, weight loss, nervousness, diarrhea, vomiting, and secondary
disorder of the liver and kidneys. In most cases, elevated
thyroid function of cats is caused by a benign tumor, easily treatable by
radioactive iodine, surgery, or anti-thyroid medication. Below, Mary Anne
holds Scratch Witt, just 1 day after successful surgical removal of the
thyroid tumor.
